Baryo Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Baryo is operated by G3 IT Solutions ("we", "us"). Baryo helps homeowners' associations and property management offices (PMOs) bill dues, collect payments and issue receipts. This policy explains how we handle personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
Who controls your data
Your village's PMO or homeowners' association decides what data is collected about its residents and why, so it is the personal information controller. G3 IT Solutions runs Baryo for them and processes the data on their behalf, so we are the personal information processor. For our own accounts, such as PMO sign-ups, we are the controller.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and password. We only store your password in hashed form.
- Property details: your village, block and lot or unit, your role (owner, tenant, co-owner or staff) and your move-in or move-out dates.
- Billing and payment records: your dues, bills, penalties, payments, receipts and account balance.
- Proof of payment: the screenshots or photos you upload, and the reference numbers on them.
- Mobile app data: a push notification token so we can send you alerts, and photos you choose to take or pick for proof of payment. If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint sign-in, your phone checks it. Your biometric data never leaves your phone and we never see it.
- Technical data: login times, IP address, device and browser type, and security logs.
We do not collect government IDs, and we do not store card or e-wallet login details. You pay through your village's own GCash, Maya or bank channels.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account.
- To bill dues, verify payments and issue receipts.
- To send you codes, payment updates and due date reminders.
- To keep financial records your association is required to keep.
- To prevent fraud, investigate abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Your PMO and its authorized staff can see the residents, bills and payments for their own village only. One village can never see another village's data.
- Our service providers process data for us under contract and only for Baryo. They include hosting, database, file storage and email providers.
- Authorities can see it when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- We keep billing, payment and receipt records for as long as your association needs them for its accounts, and at least as long as tax and audit rules require. That is generally up to 10 years.
- When you move out or your account is removed, we revoke your access. We keep your financial history only as long as the rules above require.
- We delete or anonymize data when we no longer need it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime in the app under Account, or on the web. When you do:
- you are signed out on every device and your login, push token and saved sign-in are removed right away
- your email, mobile number, profile and other personal data are erased within 30 days
- your association keeps your bills, payments and receipts for its books, showing your name only
- your open help tickets are closed
If you only moved out, ask your PMO to remove you from the property instead, so you keep access to your past receipts.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit. Proof of payment files are stored privately and are never public links. We limit staff access by role, throttle logins and keep backups. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used
- get a copy of your data
- correct it
- object to its use
- have it erased or blocked
- take it to another service
- claim damages
- file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission
Ask your PMO first for anything about your village records. You can also contact our Data Protection Officer.
